Daily Chapter---Psalm 107:1-22 Reflection Question
- Verses 1–3 “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” What is our response to this? (See James 1:17) How were the Israelites, trapped in the hands of their enemies, redeemed and rescued? What does it mean to be gathered from the east, west, north, and south?
- Verses 4–9 What caused them to wander in the wilderness? What did they do in the midst of adversity? What were they longing for, and how were they satisfied? (See Matthew 5:6; John 4:13–14) What did they do during their suffering?
- Verses 10–16 What causes people to sit in darkness and the shadow of death, bound in affliction? Is self-effort effective? What did they do in their suffering?
- Verses 17–22 What are the causes of suffering, loss of appetite, and sickness mentioned here? What did they do in their suffering? What does this remind us of? (See 2 Chronicles 16:12)
